I feel connected to this precept because I feel like you can be the hero in some cases. You can always stand up to bullies, and if you see a bully picking on somebody else, then you can be a hero and stand up for that kid. I think this precept is connected to wonder because a kid named August Pullman, and he has a dis formed face, and a kid named Jack Will, and he said that he would kill himself if he looked like August, and I think that the thing that Jack said was really mean.
Can you imagine how a student would feel if everyone stood up for him/her when he/she was bullied?
ReplyDeleteI agree that we can be a superhero every day when we choose to stand up for the weak, quiet/shy, friendless, or "unpopular."
I also agree that we can be superheros of kindness
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you explained how the precept touches you.And I agree that you can be a superhero just for one day
ReplyDeleteI also agree that it was really mean.
ReplyDeleteStanding up for people can be really hard but the feeling is incredible and spreads to other people.
ReplyDeleteSuper heros do not always come in capes.
