If I made someone so sad and upset that "he felt like he was hit in the gut," I would absolutely apologize. I think you'll be surprised at what a great friend Jack Will turns out to be.
If I were Jack Will, I would really apologize to August, because I think that the words that Jack Will said to Julian were mean and offensive things to say about someone and how they look.
